Arthur is only in New York for the summer, but if Broadway has taught him anything, it’s that the universe can deliver a showstopping romance when you least expect it.
Ben thinks the universe needs to mind its business. If the universe had his back, he wouldn’t be on his way to the post office carrying a box of his ex-boyfriend’s things.
But when Arthur and Ben meet-cute at the post office, what exactly does the universe have in store for them?
Maybe nothing. After all, they get separated.
Maybe everything. After all, they get reunited.
But what if they can’t quite nail a first date . . . or a second first date . . . or a third?
What if Arthur tries too hard to make it work . . . and Ben doesn’t try hard enough?
What if life really isn’t like a Broadway play?
But what if it is? (taken from goodreads.com)
OH MY GOD THIS WAS AMAZING. Listening to this book was a different experience and I LOVED listening to this so much. These characters! This plot! I just, I LOVED THIS!
I have been a big fan of Becky Albertalli’s books for a few years now and I had been putting off reading this one for awhile, I don’t know why but I just was. I was looking through my local library’s audiobook selection and I saw this one! So I decided to take it out and three days later, I am done!
Ben and Arthur are characters who are growing, they are growing on their own and together as people who are connected. We have two very different young men creating themselves and learning to love themselves and others.
The cast of characters that we meet in this novel are unique, filled with personality and strong. Dylan, Ben’s best friend, is by far one of my favorite book best friends I have met before. Dylan is a hopeless romantic and I am the same way. I loved him so much.
The fact that this story is set in Manhattan during the summer, made my heart so happy. I miss Manhattan something fierce and this made my heart just so filled with yearning to be back in Manhattan.
I highly recommend this!! LOVED THIS SO MUCH!!!
