Hi friends! I am going to be trying my hardest to do Top Ten Tuesday this year! Top Ten Tuesday is a blog meme hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl and I am so excited to be taking part in it! I have pre-written a bunch of them but I hope to continue with it as long as possible. This weeks theme is Hidden Gems, which are books that aren’t spoken about enough or weren’t marketed strongly enough. (I am very aware that I am posting this on Friday but its okay. Due to the Jewish holidays this month, I might not be able to post them on Tuesdays so just hang in there with me please.)
Where It Began by Ann Redisch Stampler
I read this awhile ago and I really enjoyed it. I haven’t seen many people talk about it but it deserves a lot more love!
2. You’ll Miss Me When I’m Gone by Rachel Lynn Solomon
I yell about this book almost one a day and I will never ever stop. I think everyone needs to read this, Jewish or not, because the characters deal with faith in such a relatable way. And it is one of the very first Jewish Young Adult books I have read that isn’t about the Holocaust.
3. Love Songs and Other Lies by Jessica Pennington
GUYS! If you haven’t read this, you are really missing out and I really think this needs WAY more love! It’s such a fun summer read with boy bands and friendships, love it so much!
4. Just Visiting by Dahlia Adler
This is such a fun read! It talks about friendship, love, finding yourself and growing up. It was one of my favorites that I have read in college and I really want more people to read this so I can talk about it with more people!
5. Kiss Me In New York by Catherine Ryder
CHRISTMAS IN NEW YORK CITY!!! There is nothing better than that and this book is cute and sweet, please read it.
6. You Before Anyone Else by Julie Cross and Mark Perini
This was super cute. It’s a cross between YA and NA, I really enjoyed it. It was fun and flirty, and takes place in Manhattan. Loved it so much!
7. The Wonder of Us by Kim Culbertson
This was such an amazingly warm and fun read about two best friends who travel around Europe together. It was about mending friendships, new experiences and learning how to keep one thing normal when everything around you seems to be going out of control.
8. Come Back To Me by Mila Gray
Ooofff, this book was steamy and heart breaking. I loved reading this. Jessa and Kit are amazing. Please read this, I need more people to talk about this with.
9. Keeping The Beat by Marie Powell
I have not seen ANYONE talk about this book! It came out in 2017 and was heartbreaking and amazing.
10. The Season by Jonah Lisa Dyer and Stephen Dyer
I still haven’t read Pride and Prejudice but I am a HUGE fan of Pride and Prejudice retellings! This was so much fun and cute!
