2018 has been amazing for books so far, giving us books like The Wedding Date, You’ll Miss Me When I’m Gone and so many different books that introduced us to diverse characters and talked about themes we might not have seen before.
Our Year of Maybe by Rachel Lynn Solomon
I read Rachel’s debut novel “You’ll Miss Me When I’m Gone” and it DESTROYED ME. (In all of the best ways possible, I promise.) I cried when I won this ARC in a giveaway. I’m so excited to meet our main characters, Sophie and Peter. It tackles topics we havent really seen before such as struggling with religion and organ transplants.
2. The Proposal by Jasmine Guillory
“The Wedding Date” is one of my favorite reads so far this year and I CAN NOT WAIT TO READ THIS. “The Proposal” takes place in the same world as “The Wedding Date” and the main character in this one is Carlos. I am so excited for Carlos to get his own story line, I loved him so much.
3. Fight or Flight by Samantha Young
I have been really enjoying books that take place in airports or on flights and this one is no different. I can’t wait to read it and I have been getting into more adult romance’s lately, so I’m excited to read this.
4. The Bride Test by Helen Hoang
I read “The Kiss Quotient” during July and I really loved it so much. When I saw that there was a follow book coming out I added it to my Goodreads right away. I can not wait for this.
5. Kiss Me In Paris by Catherine Rider
“Kiss Me In New York” is one of my most favorite books I have read this year. And I am so stinking excited to read
6. What If It’s Us? by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera
I LOVE Becky Albertalli’s books more than anything. I have not read one Adam Silvera book yet and I KNOW I NEED TO FIX THAT SO BADLY. But I’m just not ready for the heartbreak that will ensue when I read his books. I CAN NOT WAIT TO READ THIS. I have already placed a hold at my library for this title but I have a feeling I am going to end purchasing my own copy.
7.The Greatest Love Story Ever Told by Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman
My mom and I watch “Will and Grace” reruns all the time and we have always loved Megan Mullally. She is laugh out loud funny and I cant wait to read this.
8. Love a la Mode by Stephanie Kate Strohm
I read “Prince in Disguise” in the beginning of the year and I really enjoyed it. I’m excited to read this one because food!
9. Until The Last Star Fades by Jacqueline Middleton
I read “London Belongs To Me” and I have “London, Can You Wait?” which I have to read before this comes out. I really enjoyed “London Belongs To Me” and I can’t wait to read this one too.
10. The Resolutions by Mia Garcia
I relate to this friend group and the idea of beginning again. I had the same thing with my best friends and I can’t wait to read this!
Alright, so these are ten of the books I am SUPER excited to read! What are some of the books you are excited for?
