Summers are supposed to be fun, right? Not mine. I’ve got a job at my dad’s company, which is sponsoring a college scholarship competition. I just found out that, in addition to my job assisting the competing interns, I’m supposed to vote for the winner. Totally not what I signed up for.
My boss is running the competition like it’s an episode of Survivor. Then there’s Carlos, who is, well, very distracting––in a good way. But I can’t even think about him like that because fraternizing on the job means instant disqualification for the intern involved.
As if that’s not enough, an anonymous informant with insider intel is trying to sabotage my dad’s company on social media…and I’m afraid it’s working.
Much as I’d love to quit, I can’t. Kristoffs Never Quit is our family motto. I just hope there’s more than one survivor by the end of this summer.

Laurel wants nothing more than to spend more time with her dad. When she tells him, in anger, that she wants to be an intern at the company he runs she doesn’t realize just how seriously he’ll take her. She shows up, meeting a group of teenagers and ends up having a summer she never expected. But when a mole from inside the company takes to twitter, Laurel and her friends band together to take him down.
I am not usually fan of mystery novels, because they tend to be to dark for me but this one was perfect. While the mystery was a part of the story, and it was like reading one of my favorite reality shows as a novel. It was so great.
The characters were fun to meet and to develop. We have: Trish, who is the mean girl, Elijah is the fun nerd, Ashley is the pretty girl, Jason is the jock, Carlos is the boy next door and then we have Laurel. Laurel is the daughter of the boss and isn’t exactly one of the interns, but she’s not not one of them. (I know it’s vague but I don’t want to give anything away.)
The characters developed and I love getting to meet Carlos’s family. He has the cutest family and I love how close they all are. And I love getting meet his siblings.
This was such a fun read, it was so well written and I am so happy I was able to review this! If you’re looking for a fun summer romance and friendship novel, you should read this!
