November Wrap Up

This month was really busy and not for the best reasons, which meant unfortunately I wasn’t able to read as many books as usual this month. I read a grand total of five books, which is better than reading no books but I wish I was able to read more. I want to apologize for this not being my best work, again, long month.

  1. Kill All Happies by Rachel Cohn

This book takes place over the course of I would say a week. It starts at Victoria’s high school graduation and follows her and her friends, known as the Cuddle Huddle, until the night of their last senior bash. Victoria is a bit controlling and just wants to go down in history as throwing the best bash at her small town’s one and only hang out, Happies before it gets changed over into a corporate strip mall.

  1. 4 out of 5 stars

  2. Fun characters

  3. Hispanic and Korean reps

  4. Lots of Senior year care-free shenanigans

  5. YA Contemporary

2. The Princess Saves Herself in This One by Amanda Lovelace

I am not a fan of poetry. I am not going to lie to you, I have never ever liked poetry, in the twelfth grade we had memorize poems for a class and I chose the poem Kat said to Patrick at the end of 10 Things I Hate About You. But I loved this one. This book tells Amanda’s story through poems and it is amazing. I read it in half an hour.

The story follows three college girls and their roommates during the beginning of their fall semester of freshman year. The girls are all very different from each other with one common goal in mind, make into the sorority of their choice. The girls encounter mean people, walk of shame, cyberbullying, mixed signals from guys and so much more. It was such a fun read and I really liked the characters.

  1. 5 out of 5 Stars

  2. Fun characters

  3. YA Contemporary

4. Pride and Prejudice and Mistletoe by Melissa de la Cruz

I have always been a fan of Pride and Prejudice retellings since I was in the eighth grade and I read Prom and Prejudice by Elizabeth Euleberg. And this one was a lot of fun to read. Darcy returns to her small town of Pemberly, Ohio for christmas when her mom has a heart-attack. After a few too many eggnogs, she ends up kissing her nemesis from high school, Luke Bennet. I can’t really say more about it without giving away the story! I highly suggest you check it out.

*This was another e-arc I received from net galley in exchange for a review*

Isabelle is a senators daughter who teaches dance on the side and hates when people assume she gets her way because she has money. Garret is a football player who doesn’t even have a penny to his name and needs to take dance lessons to help with his flexibility. Coaches orders. The two form an unlikely relationship and help each other come to terms with things they cant change.

I really enjoyed reading this book. The characters are fun, relatable and swoon worthy. It’s well written and a fun, easy read. This is the first Entangled Teen Crush book and I understand why its called Crush, because I have a crush on these fun and amazing romances. I want to read them all.

  1. YA Contemporary

  2. 5 out of 5 stars

  3. Addiction, class differences
