My Summer Reading TBR- Reading Update

Hi friends! If you remember, earlier in the summer I posted Books I Want to Read This Summer and I had a list of MANY MANY MANY books I wanted to read this summer. I didnt get to do nearly as much reading as I hoped, due to my internship and going to visit my friends at their respective summer camps. I also spent a lot of time with my mom and my brother at the camp they work at. So here are the books I did read from my list, I’m debating about whether or not keeping this TBR for next summer or just continuing with it through out the year.

  1. 9 Days and 9 Nights by Katie Cotugno

This was one of the books I had to hold myself back from reading until I had started summer vacation and I have a strong feeling I need to re-read it. I love Molly Barlow and Gabe Donnelly so much. They are both SO messy and real. This story was fun and a great way to tie up their story.

2. Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour by Morgan Matson

Morgan Matson has always been one of my favorite authors. This was probably my favorite one of her novels, Amy and Roger both needed this road trip more than anything. It was therapeutic for them and they needed each other more than they knew.

3. From Twinkle, With Love by Sandhya Menon

This was a let down, I was really excited for this one but it just didn’t do it. I loved “When Dimple Met Rishi” and I was hoping to love this one as much.

4. Save The Date by Morgan Matson

This was one of my favorite books that I read this summer. I laughed, cried and just felt like I knew this family on a whole different level.

5. This is What Happy Looks Like by Jennifer E. Smith

I love Jennifer E. Smith and this was a fun read, but I found it fell flat. It didn’t make me cry the way some of her other books did and I didn’t find myself really rooting for any of the characters I have in the past.

6. Listen To Your Heart by Kasie West

This was a really fun and cute read, I enjoyed it. But it wasn’t my favorite either, I’m hoping to enjoy more of her books.

Even though I only read six books off of the long list of summer books, I did read a lot this summer and read a lot of books I really did enjoy.
