*Before I jump in I want to thank TheFFBC for having me as part of this tour and thank you to the publisher for providing me with an eARC in exchange for this honest review. All opinions are my own.*

Some of you may know that I love retellings, there is something about reading a classic story in a different way that I just love more than anything.  And I loved this one! It was so much fun to read and to be able to get to know the March sisters in a way we haven’t had the chance to do before.

I love how strong the March girls are, they are driven and devoted to each other. They have a bond that will always exist no matter what happens. I also love getting to see more of the relationship between Laurie and Jo, its so amazing. They are both such smart and driven characters.

The characters are well developed and the plot was so much fun! I really enjoyed this story and I am so happy I had the chance to read this early!

“Beth was still somehow there but not there in Orchard House- same as her abandoned, porcelain-faced dollies, still in their old room, sealed in the close air of the cedar chest at the foot of the empty day bed.”

This quote is found early in the novel and is one that stood out to me. Beth March passes away in little women, which is a heartbreaking moment. The March girls suffer from this loss and also gain a stronger bond to each other. This quote stood out to me because It describes what its like to lose a loved one in a certain way.

This passage shows that Beth and her spirts were in the house even though she physically wasn’t. She was still with her sisters and part of the family. Her belongings are still there and she always be a part of the fabric of their family.

I loved this book. I have never read Little Women fully, but I have read many different retellings of the novel and I’m pretty sure this is my favorite one!

I highly recommend you check it out!
