Hey everyone! Unfortunately, for us on the northern hemisphere, the summer is rapidly nearing its conclusion. It seems like every time I go on Instagram, I see people on glamorous vacations and relaxing and living their best lives. Then I exit out of Instagram and continue my Netflix binge because some of us can’t afford vacations.
Here are a few book recommendations if, like me, you want to have some final summer adventures without going into debt.
1) Starry Eyes by Jenn Bennett
This novel will take you on the ultimate wilderness adventure in the comfort of your own home. With this book you’ll get bear attacks and a steamy hate-to-love romance without the pesky mosquitos or uncomfortable sleeping bags.
2) The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee
Go on a tour of Europe with a group of teens with a penchant for trouble. You’ll face baddies and pirates and unrequited love and you never have to change out of your jammies.
3) The Art of French Kissing by Brianna R. Shrum
This novel is basically summer camp + a cooking competition + smooches.
4) Love and Luck by Jenna Evans Welch
If you’ve ever dreamed of visiting Ireland, this is the book for you. Traipse through the Emerald Isle, learn a couple Irish legends and secrets, and unravel secrets about the characters. Also, IRELAND!!!!
5) Saga by Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples
Galivant through outer space, meet a whole slew of alien creatures, and protect your family from the various planets with a price on your head. This graphic novel series is chock-full of adventure and excitement and you won’t even spill your coffee!
